Friday, December 17, 2004, was the last day of school before the winter vacation. It was also the day the HS Student Council held the annual Christmas Party. This year, the party was held from 2:00 to 7:00 PM in the theater. Its success was realized by many volunteers assisting us in all elements--food/drinks, lights, sound, decoration, and admission.
2004年12月17日、金曜日。それは冬休み前の最後の登校日であり、高等部生徒会がクリスマス・パーティーを開催した日でもありました。今年は、シアターにて2:00から7:00にて行われました。食べ物、照明、音響、デコレーション、そして入場という様々な面でボランチアが手伝ってくれたおかげで、パーティーは大成功でした。
We began the show with a variety of performances, and 11 talented bands and singer/rapper groups entertained us with their music for just under three hours. Most groups performed for 15-20 minutes and revealed three to four of their songs. We had a ten-minute intermission at the end of the performances.
最初にシアターのステージ上でパフォーマンスが行われ、11組のバンドと歌手・ラッパーが熱い演奏で盛り上げてくれました。一つのグループは平均で15分から20分ぐらい出演し、3、4曲を披露しました。このパフォーマンスが3時間弱続き、その後は10分間の休憩がありました。
Following that, four groups of dancers performed for five minutes each, and we gave way to the dance party. Many of the participants engaged in a fast-paced iteration of the Macarena, and the theater was filled with excitement right until we concluded the party at 7:00. Food (nachos and hot dogs) and drinks were served just outside the theater by the OIS 12th graders.
そして、4つのグループが5分間のダンスを披露し、ダンス・パーティーが開催されました。このダンス・パーティーでは、マカレナの派生型に多くの人が参加し、終了するまでとても盛り上がりました。食べ物やドリンクはシアターのすぐ外でOIS 12年が販売していました。
A huge thanks to the acoustics team and lighting team that voluntarily spent long hours before, during, and after the party, and to the Student Congress for their part in the planning and decorations. Happy Holidays!
