Student Congress is usually held on the first and third Tuesday of each month in room S-312 from 3:45 PM. We felt that one of the reasons for the subpar OIS attendance was that it was difficult to communicate when the meetings proceeded primarily in Japanese. This was inevitable with the previous system of Student Congress because there will always be more SIS representatives than OIS representatives. Thus, we tested three different meeting systems in September, and analyzed which balances the two schools' opinions most effectively.

生徒議会は通常、第一と第三の火曜日にS-312で午後3:45から行われます。我々は、OISの生徒が出席しない理由の一つは日本語を主体とした議会の進行だと感じました。SISのクラレプの人数が必然的に多いため、過去のシステムでこの事態はいつまでたっても克服できません。そのため、九月に三つの新たな議会のシステムを実行し、どのシステムでOISとSISの意見をバランスできるかを分析しました。

What is Student Congress?
生徒議会って何？
 
The Student Congress is an assembly of representatives from the middle and high school classes of OIS and SIS, and is managed by one chairman from each school. Each homeroom is required to choose a representative that will attend each meeting. Discussions may take place on any topic related to the school (ex. rules on decoration of lockers).

生徒議会はOISとSIS（中等部・高等部）の各クラスの代表によって構成される合議制の機関であり、二人の議長によって進行されます。各ホームルームで、クラレプ（代表）を決めて、ミーティングに出席する必要があります。生徒議会では、当学園のあらゆる話題に関する議論が行われます（例：ロッカーの装飾についてのルール）。

The opportunity to manage the Student Congress is now left completely to students outside of the Student Council (24 Feb 04). We felt this move would be advantageous to students who felt their opinions were not accurately represented. The current Chairman is Yuka Matsubara (SIS 11).

現在、生徒議会の監督はすべて一般の生徒（生徒会に所属していない生徒）の責任です（平成16年2月24日）。我々は、自分の意見が上手く伝わってないと思った生徒にとってこれは有益な改正だと感じました。 現在の議長は松原　由佳（SIS 11)です。
