The All School Production (ASP) for this school year will be Grease. The original 1971 musical is set in 1959, in Chicago Illinois. It was a Broadway and West End hit for many years. Grease was made into a movie in 1978 starring John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. The soundtrack features American rock and roll songs and deals with the working-class youth subculture of the time, “the greasers” hence the name. We will perform the school version, which is more suitable for teens and children, but maintains the immortal songs we know and love. Auditions will take place in October and they are open to all SIS and OIS students from grades 3 -12. Performances take place in the theatre February 4, 5 and 6, 2016.
