The Osaka International School (OIS) is the only English-language-based, preK-12, coeducational college-preparatory school in Osaka, Japan's second largest city.
OIS is accredited to teach all three curriculum
programmes of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO);
-
The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students
from Kindergarten to grade 5,
-
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for grades 6
to 10 and
-
The IB Diploma for grades 11 & 12.
Currently we are the only school in Japan
accredited to offer all three of these programmes. Moreover, OIS is unique in sharing its facility and many of its programs with the Senri International School (SIS). SIS offers a six year Japanese-based program in grades 7-12 to meet the needs of children of Japanese expatriates, who return to Japan after living abroad. Together, the 600 students are offered the opportunity to become informed, caring, and creative individuals, developing skills they need to contribute to a global community, and then achieve success in business, education, diplomacy, and the arts.
The Osaka International School is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is a member of the Japan Council of International Schools, the East Asian Regional Council of International Schools, and the Association for the Advancement of International Education. The Senri International School is
accredited by the Japan Ministry of Education.
