My Evergreen

You started

As a little sprout

Im growing old and you are too.

You left your roots but, you’re here on Christmas Eve

I took your seeds, and kept a leaf then planted all your tiny seeds

Years go by until I die; Ill plant your children Along with mine. Theyll grow up Along with yours, because they love the way you were

Youre still here, along with me

Always remembered

Because,

You were a tree
