International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

Calendar and deadlines
Students who miss any deadline may be ineligible for
extracurricular activities (including sports, clubs, student council, All
School Production), senior privileges, the senior service trip and other
privileges/activities until work is completed.
Students who submit final drafts by the fall trimester November
deadline may be eligible for senior privileges.
Students who miss final deadlines—in-school and IB
deadlines—in addition to being withheld from extracurricular activities and
being ineligible for senior privileges, may forfeit further supervisor
assistance.
Please adhere to the deadlines. They are meant to help you
in a positive way by keeping you on track and by preventing you from having
too many assignments due at the same time in March.
End of May:
First EE classes meet.
June: Choose subject
and topic, meet with supervisor, draft research question and hypothesis,
formulate research plan, conduct preliminary research, compile working
bibliography, create essay outline, meet with
supervisor again.
In short, get everything in order by the
end of June so that you can do your writing over the summer. Well
begun is half done.
September:
Meet with supervisor. Discuss progress.
End of September:
Submit first draft.
October: Meet with
supervisor. Discuss first draft. Revise.
End of October:
Submit second draft.
November: Meet with supervisor.
Discuss second draft. Revise.
End of fall trimester, November:
Submit final draft.
