Mathematics 6
Grade 6 Mathematics is the first year of a five-year integrated math program. The texts and resources used show that mathematics is not a subject in isolation but has applications in many other areas. Some of the topics covered will include computations with whole numbers, integers, fractions, decimals, and percentages, geometry, and basic algebra. In addition there will be mathematical activities and investigations which will be evaluated using the four MYP mathematics criteria.

Mathematics 7

Grade 7 Mathematics is the second year of a five-year integrated math program. The texts and resources used continue to show that mathematics is not a subject in isolation but has applications in many other areas. Some of the topics covered will include number theory, surds, ratios, algebra, geometry, probability, statistics, and applications of percentages. In addition there will be mathematical activities and investigations which will be evaluated using the four MYP mathematics criteria.

Mathematics 8

Grade 8 Mathematics is the third year of a five-year integrated math program. The texts and resources used continue to show that mathematics is not a subject in isolation but has applications in many other areas. Some of the topics covered will include linear equations and inequalities, quadratic equations, topics in geometry, statistics, probability, and basic trigonometry. In addition there will be mathematical activities and investigations which will be evaluated using the four MYP mathematics criteria.

Mathematics 9

Grade 9 Mathematics is the fourth year of a five-year integrated math program. The texts and resources used continue to show that mathematics is not a subject in isolation but has applications in many other areas. Some of the topics covered will include statistics, trigonometry, plane transformations, area and volume, rates of change, probability, simultaneous equations, quadratics equations, indices, circle geometry, linear equations and graphs, percentage change and algebraic fractions. In addition there will be mathematical activities and investigations which will be evaluated using the four MYP mathematics criteria.

Mathematics 10

Grade 10 Mathematics is the fifth year of a five-year integrated math program. The texts and resources used continue to show that mathematics is not a subject in isolation but has applications in many other areas. Some of the topics covered will include inequalities, vectors, equations and graphs, measures of spread of data, cumulative frequency, compound interest, trigonometrical functions, rational and irrational numbers, quadratic functions, graphical transformations, sequences and series, sets and Venn diagrams, arcs and sectors, congruency and radian measure. In addition there will be mathematical activities and investigations which will be evaluated using the four MYP mathematics criteria. In the final trimester students study topics from the IB Diploma syllabus in order to prepare them for the more advanced work in grade 11.
