Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0

Creating

Blended Images

using

PhotoShop Elements 2.0

Blended images are two or more pictures that you have opened in PhotoShop and then mixed or blended together.  For this example  I started with these two pictures from the free photograph web site freeimages.co.uk

http://www.freeimages.co.uk/galleries.htm

but you can use any images for this activity

1. Open two pictures in PhotoShop and place them side by side so that you can see both.

2. Use the Move tool .  Click and drag one picture on top of the other picture.  Press the Shift key before you release the mouse button - this will automatically centre the picture.

3. Take the Eraser tool and make adjustments to the size of the eraser and the opacity.  I recommend you set the opacity to about 30% for this activity.

4. Now lightly erase the top layer until the bottom layer starts to show through

Task:

Complete four more Blended Images

Challenge:

Try to make a blended image with more than two pictures blended together
