Emma Snowsill is a Australian triathlon athlete, who recently competed in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and won. She competes in competitions all over the world. She moves to different parts of the world depending on her schedule and the type of triathlon she wants to compete in! In October, Emma goes to the gold coast where the is a warm climate and the training facilities suit her best. |

She has competed in triathlons all over the world. At the age of 19, she won a gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Festival Triathlon. She was awarded a scholarship with Australian Institude of Sport and was voted 16-19 years female Triathlete of the Year 2000. She was the 2004 ITU World Cup Champion and ranked first in the world but was not selected for the Australian team for the 2004 Athens Olympic games. In 2005, Snowsill took her second world crown in Gamagori, Japan, in 35-degrees Celsius heat and 90 percent humidity. She won more events in 2005, 2006 and 2007. And in 2008 she won a gold metal in the Olympics. |
