Using MS Word Help


How to get help when you are working with a Word document.

1Under HELP select the type of help needed.

Browse Contents

2Selecting Microsoft Word Help will open the Help Topics window.

3Under the Contents tab select a topic by clicking on it once.

4Double Click to reveal sub topics under the selection.

Double Click to open the topic you want

Search the Answer Wizard

1Click on the Answer Wizard tab to bring it to the front. Type in a query.

Index entries will display beneath the query.

2Double click on the index entry below to select it.

Find by Keyword

1Click on the Index tab to bring it to the front.

Type in the keyword to be found or choose a keyword from the list provided

2Click once on a matching word to select it.

3Choose a topic.

Office Assistant

If the Office Assistant is installed on the computer, the Office Assistant (animated image) will appear when Show the Office Assistant is selected under the HELP menu.

1Type in a question, and follow the help prompts to find help information.
