Open A New Word Document
If Word was installed as a single program (not part of a suite):
Start Microsoft Word by clicking on the Start button in the Windows task bar:

Select Programs, then select Microsoft Word.
A new Untitled Document will open.
If Word was installed as part of a Microsoft Office Suite:
Click on the Start button on the Windows taskbar:
Select New Office Document. A New Office Document window will open.
Click Blank Document once to select it.
Click OK.
Microsoft Word is launched. A new document opens.
