Insert a Footer


A Footer is an area of text that displays information at the bottom of each page.

Running Footer: a message that appears on every page.

1Under View select Header and Footer.

2Enter text for the Running Footer in the Footer Section

TIP: Use the Header and Footer Toolbar buttons or Auto Text to insert information in the Header Section.

3Click Close.

Odd or Even Page Footer: a footer that appears only on even or odd pages.

1Under View, select Header and Footer.

2Click Page Setup on the Header and Footer Toolbar.

3Click on the Layout Tab.


4Select Different odd and even.

5Select Odd Page or Even Page from the Section start drop down menu.

6Click OK.

The footer message will appear on every other page of the document

First Page Footer: a footer that appears only on the first page and not the rest of the document.

1Under View, select Header and Footer.  

2Click Page Setup on the Header and Footer Toolbar.

3Click on the Layout Tab.

 

4Select Different first page.

 

5Click OK.

6Enter text into the First page header-Section.

First page footer information will appear only on the first page of the document.
