Find and Replace


To find a word that appears in a document a number of times and change it to a new word, use this command. Example - find all instances of girl and change it to woman.

1Under EDIT select Find.

 

 


 

2The Find and Replace dialog box will appear. Click on the Replace tab.

3In the Find What field type the text that should be changed.

4In the Replace With field type the new text.

Find Next - will only find the word, but not change it.

Replace - will only change that particular mention of the word.

Replace All - will change all occurrences of the old word to the new word.

More - Gives more find and replace options.
