Instructions: You must decide which type of boat you will build. Fill in each section below. When you have finished save it into your IDT folder, print a copy and hand it to your teacher.

Type of Boat: House Boat

Purpose: To allow people to live upon water, with safety, flexibility and freedom. They could live permanently or just for a vacation

Hull: A house boat uses a multi-hull

Description: Houseboats are stable, they move slowly but they are fairly easy to maneuver, they are for use on rivers or small lakes and are not for rough water or the open sea. Sometimes houseboats do not even move around – they are just anchored somewhere permanently.

They have a large deck for people to move around on, and even have a sundeck on the roof. Some houseboats are two-storey will room to live upstairs. They have large windows, square, straight walls and wide doors at the front and back.
