Show respect in the way you interact with teachers or other students

Keep movements within the computer room to a minimum

Whenever possible you should be seated when working

Show respect for other students and teachers when you are moving between classrooms, walk in the hallways and keep your voice low

You may leave the room for drinks or the toilet as you require, please inform the teacher when you are leaving the room  

Attendance & Punctuality

You are expected to attend all classes – OIS requirement is 90% attendance

bullet

Arrive to class on time

bullet

Late arrival in class will always require a late pass

bullet

Absence is not an acceptable excuse for non-completion of a work requirement  

Work Ethic

Arrive at class ready to begin work

Use your class time for productive school work

bullet

Take responsibility for your education

Be proud of your achievements

Strive to improve yourself

Set yourself challenging yet attainable goals  

Class Preparedness

Know what you require for each class and have it with you

bullet

Know when homework and work requirements are due and complete them in time

bullet

Homework will be accepted late (up to one day) if this occurs rarely; regular offenders will suffer punitive consequences

Assignments, work requirements, projects etc will have clear “due by” dates, late submission may incur a reduction in grade

Standards of Work

You are expected to work to the best of your ability

The standards required for any particular piece of work will be clearly explained to you

You will be shown how to acceptably present your work

bullet

Your work should be presented to meet this standard
