IrfanView

What is IrfanView ?

IrfanView (pronounced "EarfanView") is a very fast FREEWARE graphic viewer for Windows.

Irfanview is the first graphic viewer in the world with Multiple (animated) GIF support.

It is one of the first graphic viewers in the world with Multipage TIFF support.

It is the first graphic viewer in the world with Multiple ICO support.

Irfanview is simply a fantastic graphic manipulation program.

I discover more uses it for every time I use it.

I still can't believe that Irfan Skiljan has given this software out for free,

but I am very glad he has.

Irfanview was created by Irfan Skiljan and he has generously made it available to the world for free to download for non-commercial use.

You can find out more at http://www.irfanview.com

You can even download the latest version for free in a few minutes for your computer at home.

If you don't have Irfanview on your PC in the Multimedia lab you will have to install it.

This will only take a few moments.

Here's how to do it.

In the Yearbook 2003 2004 folder on

Nas01/publication/Yearbook you will find this icon. Double Click it

Now you will get this window, click Browse

Now choose OS (C:)

Then choose Program Files

and click OK

Finally click next through all the rest of the screens until you reach the finish of the installation

During your Multimedia classes this year you will find out how to use this program, but it is so simple to use, you can probably teach yourself.

Support Irfan Siljan's philosophy of sharing knowledge for free.

If you find out how to do something useful, fun, cool or just plain weird, tell others in the class about it.
